ICC profiles for giclée printing are essential digital files that tell your printer exactly how to reproduce colors accurately on specific archival papers, ensuring the printed output matches your screen (soft proofing) and maintains color consistency for high-quality, archival art prints using pigment inks.
If you would like to soft proof your digital images, you’ll need image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and the profile for the paper you’re interested in using, you can download individually below.
The profiles need to be saved in a specific folder on your computer before you can use them.
Make sure your graphics software is closed during the installation of the profile. Download the ICC profile, it will be in your downloads folder, from there ‘right click’ the file and select ‘install profile’. This will automatically save the profile to the correct location within the hard drive.
Once your selected profile has been installed, restart your graphics software.
Make sure your graphics software is closed during the installation of the profile. Move the extracted ICC profile to the proper folder listed below:
HD > User > Library > ColorSync > Profiles
Once your selected profile has been installed, restart your graphics software.
From the View menu, click Proof Setup and then Custom.
Select the profile you saved earlier from the Device list and make sure the settings match those above. Save the profile view for future use.
